One Sip at a Time
Some seasons invite us to slow down, not because life becomes easier, but because God is quietly drawing our attention back to what matters. This time of year has a way of making you pause and take account of what your life truly holds. And usually, we measure that by what we own, what we’ve accomplished, or how connected we feel to others.
But life—and God’s presence—is so much more than that.
What if you looked a little closer?
What if you paid attention to the gentle, everyday moments you usually overlook?
A stranger saying “good morning” right when your spirit felt heavy.
A text from someone who was simply thinking of you.
A soft breeze brushing across your face on a warm day.
A burst of heat greeting you when the winter air grows a little too sharp.
These small moments are not small at all. They are quiet reminders that God sees you, loves you, and meets you—often in ways so subtle you could miss them if you move too fast.
Today, I invite you to settle into your favorite seat, wrap your hands around something warm, and take it one sip at a time.
Let this be a moment where you slow your breathing, soften your shoulders, and revisit the ways God has been loving you all along.
You don’t have to have everything figured out today.
You don’t have to rush to the next thing.
You don’t have to show up perfect.
You just have to show up—present, open, and willing to notice the grace in front of you.
As you sip slowly, may you feel God’s nearness in the small, familiar ways.
And may gratitude rise in you gently, reminding you that His love is never far away.
